       HER STORY

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."

Proverbs 31: 25

After the tragic death of her brother, Vivian knew at a young age that nursing was the career for her.

After her first year of college and funds were low, the young determined Vivian enlisted in the Army Reserves' Healthcare field.  Returning to college the next year, Vivian also joined the Army ROTC program. So throughout college, she worked in her hometown hospital as a medical technician while also completing her military duties in her dual role with ROTC and Army Reserves.

After graduation, Vivian spend her next six (6) years on active duty as an Army Nurse Corps Officer.  Then she returned to the Army Reserves where she served as a Army Officer in several leadership assignments and supported three (3) mobilization stateside operations.

During the next 25 years with the Army Reserves,

Vivian obtained the rank of Colonel before joining the Retired Reserves.

During her years with the Army Reserves, Vivian also served in a dual capacity as a Civil Service employee with the Department of Defense/ Defense Health Agency and the Office of Veteran Affairs.

Since you too are a part of my story, I want you to share in one more journey. As I will now bid farewell after more than 30 years in the Military and Civil Service.
